Job description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our growing manufacturing asset management team based at our Pueblo, Co facility. As the Maintenance Planner, you will use your strong maintenance planning skills to develop plans for Maintenance Repairs and Operations activities, routine inspections, predictive, and preventive maintenance for assigned assets. - Develop work plans for maintenance activities containing appropriate work instructions, labour estimates, material, and tool requirements to ensure the safe and efficient execution of Maintenance Repair Operation (MRO), Condition Basic Maintenance (CBM), Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities of assigned assets
- Assist in developing maintenance budgets including Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) repair projects
- Prepare weekly schedules for routine maintenance downturns and major equipment shutdowns
- Conduct regular meetings with maintenance and operations departments to establish maintenance work priorities, as well as coordinate and schedule equipment maintenance activities
- Assists in Development of and maintaining an electronic library of procedures, Job Safety Analyses (JSA's), checklists, drawings, contractor scopes, etc., that can aid future iterations of same or similar jobs
- Monitor and prepare regular reports on key maintenance metrics including downtime and cost summaries, schedule compliance, and PM compliance
- Support Maintenance Supervisor in execution of maintenance schedules and report on performance to continuously improve the accuracy of work plans
- Train maintenance staff as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as an Industrial Engineer, Mechanical or Electrical Technologist, Journeyman Electrical or Mechanical Tradesperson or as Maintenance Facility Coordinator in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with condition based monitoring tools (vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing equipment technologies, limitations, and their effect on safety, quality, productivity and cost
- Proven technical writing skills
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
- Strong history of utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS) experience for planning – Oracle eAM preferred
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven teamwork, demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized with an attention to detail in the administration of projects
Compensation:
- $63,000 - $80,000 per year
