Shooting Sports Asst. Director

Principle Responsibilities

● Ensures range safety at all times

● Instructs and coaches participants in archery and firearms shooting

● Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership

● Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications & Training

● 21 years or older

● Required: USA Archery Level 1 Instructor (training provided)

● NRA Certified Instructor (Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, RSO) (training provided)

● Preferred: Experience in competitive shooting or hunting, any discipline

● Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination

● Be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America

Performance Results

● Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences

● Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants

● Contribute at least one improvement to Shooting Sports program operations

● Hit at least one sporting arrows disk during the season

Physical Requirements

● Multiple hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
