Are you passionate about maintaining the seamless flow of materials within a warehouse environment? Astec is seeking an Inventory Control Planner to join our team and ensure optimal efficiency through strategic staffing and performance measurement. As the Inventory Control Planner, you will be responsible for understanding and managing shipping, picking, and receiving workflows, establishing standard operating procedures, determining staffing levels based on daily workload requirements, and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement. What You'll Do:
Effectively coordinates inbound truck orders by assigning them to the appropriate receiving team while also promptly responding to inquiries.
Conducts thorough reviews of both open and closed sales orders and invoices to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Ensures the completion of daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
Monitors and analyzes productivity metrics, actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement across all operational areas.
Collaborates closely with the customer service team to address and resolve any customer-related issues.
Works in tandem with warehouse supervisors and associates to optimize workflow efficiency.
Provides valuable support to the operations department by assisting with fulfillment and maintaining rigorous quality control standards.
Appropriately escalates any unresolved issues to relevant managers for swift resolution.
Adheres strictly to company policies and procedures to uphold organizational standards.
Implements cross-training initiatives to bolster team flexibility and response times, particularly during periods of staff shortages due to vacations, illnesses, or labor deficits.

What We Need from You:
Associate degree in supply chain management or business management; Bachelors degree preferred.
Strong collaborator with excellent social skills.
Proficient in ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
Demonstrates advanced written and verbal communication abilities.
Independent worker with strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Proficient in creating and editing reports using MS Office applications.
