Job Description Summary
The Labor Relations Leader will drive positive employee and labor relations for GE HealthCare’s MICT/ISS team based in Milwaukee (Electric Avenue and Waukesha South plants), including leadership for MICT’s US Union workforce. This role also provides labor relations expertise to the Repair Operations Center and Warrensville Heights, in partnership with the on-site HR Leader. This leader will partner with senior operating and HR leaders to drive a culture transformation that engages manufacturing and operations employees to maximize Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of contemporary employee and labor relations strategies and processes across US manufacturing business operations, primarily focused on the MICT business.
Connect with employees, business leaders, and HR stakeholders throughout the organization to effectively lead and develop a positive business labor relations climate.
Provide advice, counsel and leadership on employee and union relations, including planning and implementing site wide union management partnering strategies to ensure efficient and sustainable plant operations
Advise business leaders on legal/labor law/regulatory and other external (and specifically Healthcare industry) labor relations environmental issues and trends.
Represent Company interests and play a key role in GE HealthCare’s CBA negotiations and act as the chief spokesperson for contract language.
Lead contract administration, personnel movement, hourly staffing processes, grievance process and disciplinary matters for Union workforce.
Lead labor relation projects including contract negotiation preparations, labor relations training and various communications projects
Partner with the HR team to drive key HR initiatives including culture surveys, site assessments and related action planning
Some limited travel may be required and may require flexibility on hours due to multiple shift operational support
Required Qualifications
Strong Academic background with 8+ years’ work experience in HR and/or Labor relations experience in an hourly or non-exempt union or non-union environment
Ability and willingness to work onsite.
Desired Characteristics
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations or Business Administration
CBA contract/negotiation experience including performing cost/benefit analysis/modeling
Experience advising front line leadership in employee relations matters
Experience directly and indirectly leading, developing, and coaching HR and Operations management professionals
Demonstrated communication, influencing and relationship building skills at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated experience developing & executing broad employee relations strategies in a manufacturing or operational environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively link employee relations agenda to business outcomes
Capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completion
Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements
Ability to influence and lead in complex, matrix, goal-driven organizations
Strong problem-solving and negotiations skills looking for win-win outcomes
