Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Body and Paint Instructor for a Direct Hire opportunity in Greer SC with a luxury vehicle manufacturer. Body and Paint Instructor Responsibilities:
- Executes and supports the instruction of Body and Paint programs for company.
- Provides Body and Paint Training to Dealer Network in the area of improving technical/Non-technical skills.
- Provides company STEP program(s) training to qualified entry level candidates.
- Designs and develops technical training curriculum for customer base.
- Ensures that training courses address all levels of customers in the use of company products/services.
- Designs course outlines, gathering supporting technical documentation and developing course work and trainer notes.
- Interfaces with curriculum development team and peers to develop specifications for course content.
- Assesses customer needs for future course development.
- Delivers Body & Paint training programs of company university according to program objectives, extending to grading, placement, maintenance of training equipment, conducting demonstrations, overseeing shop activities, practical testing, cognitive testing, evaluation and feedback of program effectiveness.
- Delivers technical company product courses within department guidelines and procedures and conducts appropriate testing of participants.
- Evaluates program effectiveness.
- Prepares for new classes by way of study, shop time, review of learning objectives and class materials for clarity and possible expired information.
- Prepares material within the instructor s guide and ensures coverage of all learning objectives within each class at an appropriate level of detail.
- Sets up labs prior to class for necessary practical activities such as mounting vehicles on frame machines, setting up welders, prepping panels for paint, or mixing paint.
- Ensures proper inventory of all consumables necessary for class such as welding coupons, paint materials, and respirators.
- Maintains equipment and coordinates upkeep of areas used for training with process partners.
- Provides body & paint training programs at other training centers and on-site at dealer locations as needed.
- Ensures business relationships with internal departments, vendors and municipalities are prompt, transparent and ethical.
- Spends time in company centers in cooperating with Center management in order to become most effective in communicating with Center personnel.
- Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Body and Paint Instructor Requirements and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary Automotive Technical College Body & Paint Program required.
- 5+ years collision repair experience specializing in paintless dent repair, refinishing and structural repairs of aluminum and steel. As applicable, per Company Training Guidelines.
- 2+ years demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written necessary to convey ideas, persuade and provide effective solutions.
- 2+ years knowledge of post-secondary automotive school business, recruitment.
- 2+ years of skills in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- 2+ years content development skills (preferred).
- 2+ years knowledge of facilitation and teaching techniques.
- 2+ years leadership or management skills (preferred).
- 1+ years company diagnostic equipment & programs including but not limited to; ISTA, ISTA/D, TSARA.
- 1+ years knowledge of OSHA compliance.
