Job Summary
This position is responsible for the electrical maintenance and repair on the plant equipment and facility. Assist supervisors in leading a team of Plant engineering and Maintenance employees to maintain facilities. Able to work safely and lead a crew, work closely with Supervisor to achieve safety, quality and production goals
Job Description
- Duties include scheduling and maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing plant machinery, installing and commissioning new machinery, performing scheduled maintenance and identifying preventive maintenance requirements.
Electrical Operation – 65%
- Adhere to company health and safety standards.
- Follow the established policies, rules and regulations and procedures.
- Qualified as Journeyman Level manufacturing plant electrician .
- Read electrical blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems.
- Responsible for implementing new machine installations and related repairs/adjustment and for maintenance, read down and rebuild.
- Troubleshoot about this company’s electronics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with proper precautions.
- Complete work orders on time.
- Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use computer programs
- Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
- Reports all irregular issues and problems to manager for solution.
- Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members , co-workers, and outside contacts.
Other & Miscellaneous – 10%
- Repair or replace broken wires, cables, connections etc.
- Assist production teams with installation of electrical equipment.
- Communicates with manufacturers of machines on serious problems as needed.
- Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- 1-5 years of experiencce
- Read and write specifications and standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent technical certification.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, industrial wiring, and electronics.
- Understanding of troubleshooting, installation, and repair procedures.
- Experience with industrial power distribution.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermo graphic imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, etc.)

Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or more three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- State of Texas Journeyman manufacturing or Journeyman industrial electrical license.
- Safety training certification.
- Outside certifications such as industrial electrical circuitry, and electrical motors and controls.

- Work is performed primarily in a factory production work environment. Works are done frequently under very loud conditions and near moving mechanical parts. Temperature conditions can change fro m cold to extremely hot. The chance to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles is high.

- Also, the employee must be able to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen; Also requires the ability to measure or identify using eyesight.
- Infrequent travel is required.

Pay Rate/Salary
- $23.00 - $40.00/hr depending on experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and/or location.)
