Summary

The Site Reliability Engineer provides support in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Provides support for highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Hadoop, /Acumulo, Big Table, Cassandra, Scality, et cetera.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a related field is highly desired and will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience .
• A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience.
• Experience in performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complete hardware/software systems to include monitoring technical health of a system, improving organizational processes, implementation of postmortem (failure) analysis and incident management.
• Cloud Systems Administrator or Developer Certification (Not required for entry level or jr. positions).
• Any of the following Certifications will be accepted: Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) Data Engineer, Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), AWS Certified Developer --- Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator --- Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate*
• Certification should be accompanied by another certification that is listed for this position.
• Active DoD TS//SCI Security Clearance with poly required.

Desired:

• Experience in the cleared environment.
• Experience managing and monitoring large Cloud System (>200 nodes).
• Experience developing software for UNIX, or Linux OS.
• Experience developing distributed storage routing and querying algorithms.
• Experience developing software systems using object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with Configuration Management and monitoring tools, and Agile software methodologies and practices.

Site Reliability Engineer , Entry Level

• Five (5) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• One (1) year experience in system engineering/architecture.
• One (1) year experience working with products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Hadoop, Acumulo, Big Table, Cassandra, Scality et cetera.
• One (1) year experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation.

Site Reliability Engineer , Jr.

• Eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Four (4) years' experience in system engineering/architecture.
• Four (4) years' experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation.
• Four (4) years of experience in the cleared environment is desired.
• seven (7) years' experience in system engineering/architecture.
• Seven (7) years' experience working with products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Hadoop, Acumulo, Big Table, Cassandra, Scality et cetera.
• Seven (7) years' experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation.
• Three (3) years of experience managing and monitoring large Cloud System (>1000 nodes).

Site Reliability Engineer , Mid

• Eleven (11) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Seven (7) years' experience in system engineering/architecture.
• Seven (7) years' experience working with products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Hadoop, Acumulo, Big Table, Cassandra, Scality et cetera.
• Seven (7) years' experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation.
• Three (3) years of experience managing and monitoring large Cloud System (>1000 nodes).

Site Reliability Engineer, Sr.

• Fourteen (14) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• ten (10) years' experience in system engineering/architecture.
• Ten (10) years' experience working with products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Hadoop, Acumulo, Big Table, Cassandra, Scality et cetera.
• Ten (10) years' experience writing software scripts using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation.
• Four (4) years of experience managing and monitoring large Cloud System (>1000 nodes).
