Job description
The Study Coordinator will oversee grant activities and perform administrative duties while gaining invaluable experience working on public-health-related projects with the Bronx Latinx and West African communities. This individual would attend outreach events, meet regularly with an advisory board of local leaders, and coordinate various projects and educational sessions with other physicians. The Study Coordinator would have the opportunity to volunteer, shadow, and conduct research on neglected tropical infections with Dr. Coyle in the Parasitology Clinic at Jacobi Medical Center, one of the most renowned parasitology centers in the Northeast region of the United States.
The Study Coordinator would be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate development of accessible educational materials for community outreach and provide at-risk patients with information
- Schedule and attend regular meetings with community-based and/or provider partnerships for facilitation of grant activities, prepare meeting agendas and minutes for the PI
- Organize and maintain financial data as it pertains to the grant
- Coordinate materials for dissemination among hospitals (Screening criteria, diagnostic practices, etc.)
- Prepare presentations on grant deliverables
- Book venues, create and send invitations, and coordinate details of outreach events, educational symposiums, and other teaching sessions at local organizations
- Implement quality control procedures;
- Perform data collection and quality control of study data;
- Develop recruitment methods
Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. May use other web-based programs as assigned.
- Must demonstrate good judgment, initiative, communication, and attention to detail.
