Are you a people-person? Can you handle multiple projects at the same time? Do you enjoy working with and educating patients? If so: Vaught optical is hiring for Opticians at our Conway South Carolina location. This position involves helping patients find the perfect-fitting frame that suits their personality and educating them on different lens options. With a true family environment where everyone helps each other out. A positive personality is a must! Optician schedule is Full time with Four-Ten hour days per week plus one to two Saturdays a month till Twelve o"clock. Lab schedule is eight hour shift Monday to Friday.

Experience is a plus but we are happy to train those who are EAGER and WILLING TO LEARN!

Skills and Responsibilities:

Interpreting the results of eye examinations, using prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists
Advising patients on frame selection, materials, styles and colors
Recommending lenses, coatings and frames to suit customers needs
Measuring customers to determine suitable types and styles of frames and lenses
Adjusting frames so they fit properly
Preparing and placing eye glass orders with the lab
Ability to understand different insurance plans and communicate vision benefits to the patient
Ability to run computerized lab equipment
Assembly of patients eyewear
Problem solving
