Primary Function of Organizational Unit : The School of Music seeks a Department Chair for the Instrumental Department.
The School of Music consists of five departments: Instrumental; Keyboard; Music Education/Therapy; Theory, Composition and Musicology; and Vocal Studies. These departments function as semi-autonomous units with department chairs serving as unit administrators for their respective department. Department Chairs shall be selected and evaluated in accordance with established University policies and procedures. It is essential that the person selected for the position of Department Chair enjoy the mutual confidence of the department faculty and the director of the School of Music.

The Department Chair will:Master of Music with extensive faculty experience in the School of Music and leadership potential will be considered for this reassignment.
Qualifying degrees must be conferred from appropriately accredited institutions. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :None
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education :Teaching experience in the instrumental curriculum preferred.
