Job description
Valiant Harbor International is currently seeking an Operations Analyst with an in-depth knowledge of the U.S. Army and Defense Acquisition System to support our U.S. Army customer at Ft. Belvoir, VA. Note that this position requires candidates be located within reasonable proximity to Ft. Belvoir, VA in order to support the customer with on-site requirements. The Operations Analyst will perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:
- Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments and may be assigned responsibility to participate in team project efforts.
- Interfaces with stakeholders and support organizational-level operations and information with stakeholders (higher headquarters, subordinate organizations, and external offices).
- Publishes organizational-level operations functional policies and procedures, orders, letters of instruction, other directives, and communications (EXSUMs, Information Papers, Briefings, Reports, etc.)
- Represents Operations leaders at meetings.
- Manages taskings and staffing actions: controls, manages, and schedules organizational resources (conference rooms, calendars, etc.), plans and supports organizational events (command and staff meetings, town halls, ceremonies, etc.), and archives functional documents and information; operating audio/visual equipment in modern conference rooms is desired.
- Supports special requirements (FOIA requests, International Programs, Government Vehicle Driver, Safety, Security etc.)
- Reviews Government personnel travel requests, orders, and vouchers in Government-approved systems (Defense Travel System (DTS)) for accuracy.
- Knowledge of managing and navigating SharePoint systems; ability to build SharePoint sites and workflows is desired .
Required Skills/Experience: - In depth knowledge of Army and Defense Acquisition System.
- High level proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, etc).
- Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Education Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree and 5 years relevant experience, or
- Associate's degree and 7 years relevant experience, or
- HS diploma and 13 years of experience.
Clearance Requirements: - Candidates for this position must currently possess a US DoD Top Secret security clearance or higher.
