Job Description:
The assignment will include, but will not be limited to:
- Reading and analyzing relevant literature; contributing new ideas, actively engaging in scientific discussion, providing expertise to inform discussion of new concepts.
- Performing original research, data analysis, and paper writing in independent and collaborative fashion.
- Developing and publishing abstracts/publications for the dissemination of data; Presenting data at scientific meetings; Preparing figures and other elements important for grant submissions.
- Strong background in 2D cell culture (tumor and immune cells), 3D tissue and cell culture, immunofluorescence, histology, molecular biology (RNA extraction, PCR, Western blots), confocal microscopy and 3D rendering, spatial profiling, immunology and immunotherapy, flow cytometry, animal handling and breeding, in vivo electroporation.
- Collecting/interpreting data and performing statistics.
- Attend all lab meetings and collaborative meetings with other labs. Ensure regulatory compliance and approvals from regulatory agencies such as IACUC.
- Supervising and Teaching/Mentoring Junior Researchers. These activities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Participate in one-on-one teaching and mentoring activities.
- Mentor and teach undergraduate students in scientific programs.
- Supervise visiting scholars and technologists who participate in relevant research activities.
- Contribute to managing a positive lab environment including the spirit of collaboration and helping others.
Expected Salary:
$64,000.00
Minimum Requirements:
M.D., Ph.D. or M.D/Ph.D.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Several years of postdoctoral research experience
- Experience in 3D culture
- Expert in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescenc
- Expert in confocal microscopy.
- Experience in immunology
- Experience in immunotherapy
- Ability to work well with a team
- Ability to inspire students
- Willingness to work towards the lab's long-term vision
- Desire to contribute to the lab's culture and community
- Professionalism and ability to communicate effectively while maintaining a joyful work environment
