Job description
Job Title:
CNC Programmer
Reports to:
Production Manager
General Description:
Improve existing and develop new processes throughout the general factory; program CNC equipment; write new and update code for existing programs, create new drawings for parts and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Programming (60%)
- Program and or Setup CNC Swiss, CNC Lathes, and CNC Machining Centers for new product launches or current product improvements as assigned
- Write and optimize CNC programs to create parts on CNC Swiss, CNC Lathes, and CNC Machining Centers
- Modify and / or write G and M code programs directly on machine controls
- Assure that new product launches are successful in meeting customer quality expectation and meets expected cycle times per the quote method
- Drawings & Other Documentation (30%)
- Create proper documentation including tool sheets, set up instructions, and operator work instructions
- Process Improvement (10%)
- Assist in troubleshooting processes and procedures for engineering
- Assist in improving existing processes
Minimum Educational Qualifications & Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor degree in a related field
- Or equivalent training and experience in manufacturing technology such as CAD & manual drafting or automation technology
- Minimum 5 years' experience in CAD software
