Job description
Position Overview: The Software Development Manager will lead a team of software engineers and will be responsible for full life cycle software development including design, development, testing, and integration for radiation and security systems for CT scanners. The Software Development Manager will ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
This is a percentage of "hands on" development and leading a small team. About 70 percent leadership; 30 percent hands on.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain software systems for radiation and security systems for CT scanners.
- Design, develop, and debug software solutions with C++, SQL, Object-oriented Design, and QT.
- Develop software solutions from design to production.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful Web Services.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time and to specified requirements.
- Provide design reviews, resource allocation, team meetings, and supervision.
- Lead software engineering teams and provide guidance and leadership.
- Maintain and support 3rd party software and hardware for SSH, Jenkins, SVN, Redhat, and Artifactory.
- Manage software engineering projects related to 3D Rendering, VTK, and DICOS/DICOM.
Qualifications:
-Excellent and experienced skill set to mentor and grow junior team members; 30% hands on - 70% managing!
-Modern C++ development (at least 10 years of development in C++)
-Background with T-SQL generating complex SQL queries to data mine databases for the purpose of reporting and statistical aggregation.
-QT 5/6 GUI development
-Linux (Redhat) Operating system
-Postgres database and T-SQL
-RESTFul microservices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- Experience with C++, SQL, Object-oriented Design, and QT.
- Knowledge of Qt SDK, Linux, TCP/IP, RESTful Web Services, People Management, Communication, Multitasking, Agile Scrum, DICOS/DICOM, Medical/Security CT Systems, Radiation, Security Systems, CT scanners, DICOS, Database Design, Networking, 3D Rendering, VTK, Artifactory, SVN,
