Job description

Clean Eatz Midlothian, a healthy lifestyle cafe and prepared meal service, is looking for a shift supervisor. Restaurant hours are 11-7 Monday-Friday and 11-3 Saturday and Sunday so  no late nights ! We have a safe, clean and healthy environment ( no fryers, no smokers ). Employees receive free healthy shift meals. Our mission is simple: help change peoples livez through healthy meals and nutrition. if you are passionate about this, then let's talk.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a supervisory role, and be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives. The shift supervisor will report to the general manager and must be able to perform duties in the absence of the general manager such as opening and closing.

To be a successful shift supervisor, you should eagerly participate in educational and training opportunities. The shift supervisor must be able to motivate and positively influence staff. We are looking for someone with strong leadership and organizational skills as this position has growth opportunities to become the assistant general manager (and even general manager as we grow and expand across Richmond).

Responsibilities:

• Working with the General Manager, assisting with staff management including overall operations and customer interactions.
• Nurturing positive working relationships with staff.
• Delegating daily tasks.
• Addressing any issues in a timely fashion.
• Supervising staff and controlling merchandise.
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
• Setting a good example for staff.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or similar.
• One (1) year minimum restaurant experience.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Good observation skills.
• An ability to deliver constructive criticism.
• Computer literate and basic Math skills.
• An ability to identify weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary.
