Our latest private equity program invests globally in middle-market companies with leading competitive positions. Our private equity programs have consistently been top performers since inception.
We are now looking to add an Investment Leader to our Goods & Products team in Denver, CO, with a focus on consumer-businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Source, execute and lead direct investments in consumer-businesses in the Americas, primarily North America
- Manage quantitative and qualitative due diligence, including oversight of team-members and third-party advisors
- Develop and review valuation analyses, lead the preparation of investment memoranda for, and present opportunities in, Investment Committee meetings
- Lead review and negotiations of legal transaction documentation (e.g., SPA, SHA, MIP, etc.), including coordination of support from internal and external legal advisors
- Contribute to structuring and raising debt financing, together with Partners Group's Capital Markets team
- Actively engage with management teams and the boards of portfolio companies, including guiding the preparation of board materials and responsibility for certain post-closing value-creation initiatives
- Manage relationships with key investment stakeholders, counterparties and partners
- Recruit, lead and mentor junior transaction-professionals in and outside of investment processes
- Contribute to Partners Group’s client related activities (e.g., “pitches”, updates, reporting, etc.)
What we expect
- 6-8 years of private equity experience, typically preceded by 2-3 years of investment banking or management consulting
- Superior business judgment in holistically assessing investment opportunities – market trends, strategic dynamics, company performance and quality of management teams
- Ability to “manage up and down” in coordinating investment processes, while ensuring high-quality execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in Consumer-sectors is strongly preferred

- Partners Group compensation has a long-term outlook and philosophy, and our total compensation emphasizes performance based long term incentives. Base pay range for this role is $250,000 – 300,000 and a performance-based bonus and equity are additional parts of the total compensation package
