Job Summary:
Anderson Honda is seeking a Full Time Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our team in Cockeysville, Maryland. This individual will be responsible for assisting customers with their automotive parts needs and ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of automotive parts and excellent customer service skills. This is an individual / team contributor role with opportunities for commission on top of a competitive base salary.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Automotive Parts Counterperson at Anderson Honda will receive a competitive base salary paid biweekly. In addition, this position offers opportunities for commission based on sales performance. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Technicians & Customers with finding the correct parts for their specific vehicles
- Use the computer system to look up parts, check inventory, and place orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory management
- Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Process sales transactions and handle cash and credit card payments
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing Technician & Customers needs and concerns in a timely and effective manner
- Keep the parts department clean and organized for easy accessibility
- Stay up-to-date on new parts and products, as well as changes in automotive technology
- Assist other team members with tasks as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a Honda Dealership or automotive parts environment preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and terminology
- Ability to use computer systems and adapt to new technology, CDK experience preferred
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
