Job description

DecksDirect is looking for an eCommerce Manager (UX/UI Specialist) to run the online operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of online activity including web development, branding, marketing, and online sales and promotions.

In addition to a proven track record of managing successful projects independently, they must also be efficient at guiding the activities of team members from your department as well as other key stakeholders across the company.

Previous management experience and Building materials experience are a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

• Proven success in managing and improving all aspects of UX/UI initiatives, which includes:
  • Online customer experience
  • User interface functionality
  • Site functionality
  • Site search
  • Navigation
• Contribute to marketing strategies by executing digital tactics that improve revenue, conversion, and customer experience.
• Plan, define, and manage an online promotions calendar. Help internal and external teams execute planned promotions.
• Craft and execute effective merchandising strategies, leveraging data to gauge results. This includes curating product collections for a seamless shopping experience.
• Own the enhancement and optimization of our online experience by improving existing website features while introducing new functionality, ensuring it aligns with the latest industry standards and best practices.
• Support content creation efforts to support effective product merchandising such as instructions, photography, graphics, video, and other media. 
• Work hand-in-hand with our product, marketing, and design teams to conceptualize and roll out impactful online campaigns that resonate with our audience.
• Analyze and report on metrics and results, such as traffic, sales, and engagement.
• Drive our e-commerce channel analytics and understand customer behavior, while using data to optimize our eCommerce funnel.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with key vendors, third-party providers, and offshore development to improve our overall online presence.
• Master the entire eCommerce application and serve as the de facto expert of our platform.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience as an eCommerce Manager.
• Proficient in eCommerce platforms, preferably Magento.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience using Google Analytics or similar tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and A/B testing.
• Proven success in driving eCommerce growth and improving online customer experiences.
• Strong understanding of industry trends and the ability to identify new opportunities for growth.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

Working Environment:

• Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
