The New Smiling Faces Learning Center is looking for passionate and caring Teacher Assistants/Aides to join our dynamic team in Prince George's County, Maryland! With a capacity for 138 children and plans for additional locations on the horizon, this is your chance to grow alongside our new management team and be part of something truly special.

Position: Teacher Assistant/Aide
Location: Prince Georges County, Maryland

What You'll Do:

• Dive into the world of imagination and creativity as you assist our lead teachers in implementing engaging and interactive lesson plans that spark curiosity and excitement in young minds.
• Foster a nurturing and supportive environment where every child feels valued, loved, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
• Spread joy and positivity as you engage in playful activities, storytelling, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures with our little learners.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and families, providing them with the care, support, and reassurance they need to thrive.
• Embrace every opportunity for growth and learning, both for yourself and the children you serve, as you participate in ongoing training and professional development.

What You'll Bring:
A heart full of love and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
A high school diploma or equivalent, with certification or college courses in early childhood education or a related field.
CPR certification and a clean background check, ensuring the safety and well-being of our precious little ones.
A positive attitude, a love for learning, and a willingness to jump in and lend a helping hand wherever needed.
A commitment to ongoing continuing education as you strive to expand your knowledge and skills in early childhood education.

MSDE Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent, with certification or college courses.
CPR First Aid Certification and Background Check

Operating Hours:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Weekend Care Options May Be Available!

All applicants must receive approval from the Office of Childcare. MSDE will assess each candidate's qualifications, certifications, and relevant information. A Personal Qualification Evaluation Card will be provided to our management team from OCC before commencing employment.
