Job Description:

Georgetown Learning Centers (GLC) is a dynamic educational company committed to helping students of all ages and abilities succeed in their academic endeavors.  At GLC, we believe that all children can flourish scholastically when they discover that learning can be fun and rewarding. Founded by two U. Penn graduates in 1998, GLC operates private, neighborhood learning centers in the DC metropolitan area, as well as in Charlottesville, VA.

GLC is currently seeking qualified, enthusiastic and confident individuals to work remotely on our designated teaching platform with college level students in varying disciplines of Economics. Because you will be tutoring college level students from top universities on a range of economics topics, so we are looking for people with high level competence in Economics.

Responsibilities: 

• One-on-one academic tutoring
• Organizational and study skills development
• Serving as a role model and mentor to students
• Communication with Directors to help create and maintain a schedule for students 

Job Qualifications:

• Experience and desire to work with students in a tutoring setting
• Strong academic performance at a top college or university
• A minimum of a Master's degree in Economics 
• Excellent problem solving skills and an independent work ethic
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• History of community involvement and leadership
• Ability to work part-time and remotely, for about 10-15 hours per week depending on demand and availability

This is an exciting and rewarding position that provides the unique potential to enjoy the fulfilling benefits of teaching as well as the exciting challenges of a growing company. Compensation can be between $50-60 dollars an hour based on qualifications and experience.
