Job description

1 Resource Group is currently seeking a Corporate Safety Manager to join our team. As a Corporate Safety Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the company's safety program to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. You will work closely with senior management, project managers, and construction teams to identify and mitigate safety risks and promote a strong safety culture within the organization.

In this role, you will develop, promote, and execute the company's safety policies and procedures. You will conduct safety briefings, inspections, and training sessions to ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will also research and document safety regulations and translate them into practical policies and procedures for the organization.

Additionally, you will work with the field teams to identify and mitigate safety risks on construction sites. You will communicate safety incidents to prime contractors and company management and ensure proper documentation and reporting of incidents. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as you will work with employees, supervisors, managers, and external entities to ensure the proper implementation of safety policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate for this position has a minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety manager position in the construction industry. Military or law enforcement advanced leadership training is preferred. The candidate should possess relevant certifications such as AHA CPR, First Aid, AED certification, OSHA 500 and EM 385-1-1 General Industry Safety & Health certification, and OSHA 40 Hazwopper certification. Experience in government construction projects and site supervision is also required.

In addition to the above requirements, the ideal candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures, and the ability to quickly identify and mitigate safety risks. Knowledge of civil, road, and vertical construction is also desired.
