Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Certified Athletic Trainer in o ur Shreveport, Louisiana facility. Join our clinical team to help athletes with injury prevention, treatment of sports related injuries such as fractures, sprains and strains, and return to play and be part of the leading pediatric sports medicine provider in our region.
The Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) will play an integral part of our Sports Medicine Team. On the playing field or court and in the community, you'll help keep athletes safe and healthy. In our clinic, you'll serve as a liaison between our medical staff, therapists, coaches, and community trainers, and will assist in injury clinic, and work with athletes such as competitive cheer squads, club soccer, and Little League baseball.
In this position, you'll have the opportunity to :
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitative related field required.
Athletic Training Degree required with NATA Certification.
Experience
1 Year Pediatric experience preferred.
3-5 years athletic training experience.
Certification & Licensure
Board Certification required
