About The Role
As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor at CBRE, you'll champion the creation of a vibrant and safe work environment, fostering innovation within diverse product and research teams. Leverage your expertise in risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards throughout the research and development activities.
Beyond internal teams, your exceptional communication skills and thirst for knowledge will be key to fostering seamless collaboration with both internal and global partners. Finally, you'll collaborate with your team to develop tailored safety programs for our diverse clients, adapting to their unique needs and navigating a dynamic landscape with agility.
This is NOT a remote position. The HSE Supervisor - Risk Management will be required to work onsite at our Global Technology Client's office in Mountain View, CA.
What You'll Do
- Proactively identify and mitigate hazards throughout research and development, conducting in-depth risk assessments and developing effective mitigation procedures.
- Manage relationships, projects, deadlines, and casework with agility, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely outcomes for diverse stakeholders.
- Partner with Product Safety experts and other safety experts to conduct rigorous risk assessments and implement robust mitigation strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with compliance and product teams, enabling safe and efficient R&D for a variety of products.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across continents and time zones, fostering a collaborative spirit and knowledge-sharing.
- Develop comprehensive programs and guides that equip device development teams with essential safety best practices, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Drive complex, multi-disciplinary projects from conception to completion, effectively managing stakeholders, risks, and communication with cross-functional partners across the organization.
What You'll Need
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in engineering, EHS related field or related work experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of EHS experience (3+ preferred).
- Proven track record of managing programs from start to finish.
- Experience in project management involving equipment or product development preferred.
- Knowledge of user studies, UXR, hardware product development, or product safety and compliance preferred.
- Experience with machine guarding, robotics, electrical safety, laser safety preferred.
- Technical writing experience is a plus.
- Adept at working independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate hazards, lead meetings, and develop action plans.
- Proficiency in Google Suites and related software.
- Proactive, polished, independent, technically competent, assertive, and thrives in high-pressure environments.
