Experienced Property Accountant

Position Summary:
Exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing organization with exceptional benefits! This role will provide experience with full financial statement preparation, focus on development accounting and property management accounting. The Experienced Property Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of a group of commercial real estate assets.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly and year-end reconciliation and closing for assigned properties
• Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial statements
• Prepare monthly loan draws and monitor funding and disbursement
• Assist in coordination and support of third-party auditors
• Assist in coordination and support of third-party tax accountants
• Deliver high quality and timely reporting consistently
• Collaborate with property management on preparation of the property operating budget
• Integrate acquisitions into accounting and reporting frameworks
• Analyze and interpret operating and financial information regarding profitability, capital expenditures, and performance against budget

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from accredited college or university
• 2 - 4 years of experience within an accounting firm and/or within the real estate industry
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or candidate preferred
• Experience with Yardi, Timberline or MRI is a plus
• Strong leadership, team building and motivational abilities
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people
• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines and strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office products
