Job description

The Center for Digestive Health (CDH) is a priority service line created in 2021 for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. The goal of CDH is to build a nationally and internationally recognized, fully-integrated, destination program for patients with digestive health concerns. Key pillars of the Center are team-based multidisciplinary care, quality, seamless access, and education.

 

The Center for Weight Management's bariatric surgery program is a key service within the Center for Digestive Health. Bariatric surgery is offered at three locations at St. Francis Medical Center in Federal Way, Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, and St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale. Our surgeons at St. Francis Hospital perform more robotic-assisted surgeries than any other hospital in the country. The Federal Way and Seattle bariatric programs are accredited through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. This designation is awarded to a small percentage of facilities across the nation and acknowledges our commitment to providing safe, quality and specialized care for our bariatric patients. Our Silverdale location is in the process of receiving their accreditation.
