Job description

Adecco is looking to hire multiple Assembly workers for a high-tech warehouse in Blacksburg! *1st and 2nd shift available*

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Sub-assembly: Duties include one or more of the following areas: hand wind, machine wind, end-bell assembly, shell machining and shell bonding. These operations will be performed per established procedures.

· Set up of equipment for machining, induction heating or balancing operations

• Operate various machines for production (example: CNC lathes with programs pre-entered)

• Working knowledge of calipers, micrometers and other mechanical gauges

• Perform 5S maintenance on machines on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

• Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and calibrations as required.

· Ability to read and understand blue prints and drawings.

Motor Assembler: Assemble all types of motors by reading and interpreting specification sheets, and assembly drawings. Perform small precision assembly and assembly of large units as required. Use bill of material to pull correct parts for the assembly process.

· Motor Tester : Perform all required mechanical and electrical tests per IM, Test Procedure, and Motor Test Procedure. Ensure motors meet all test requirements.

· E-Cap: Bake out oven – loads and unloads, sets ovens. Involves work with hot parts
Maintain Encapsulation equipment and refill equipment with chemicals as needed

Testing – hipot

Various assembly duties to assemble molds to motor components

Maintenance of tooling in work area

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NECESSARY:

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

• · Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and managing files and records

• · Good written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic

• · Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods

• · Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks without supervision

• · Being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks

• · Ability to use an overhead crane for motors weighing up to 400 pounds

• · High school diploma or equivalent required

Pay Details: $15.00 to $15.90 per hour
