General/Civil candidates should aspire to represent plaintiffs and defendants in civil lawsuits deftly managing all phases of a busy caseload from investigation and research, to pleadings and discovery, and through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes, all of which require superb interpersonal communication and quintessential writing skills. In addition to the foregoing, Family Law candidates should be able to effectively counsel clients, giving legal advice on divorce, custody, and child support matters.
