Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Clinician Supervisor in the Child & Adolescent Services – School Based Programs at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
The Clinician Supervisor supervises the day-to-day operations of the school based program. Takes a leadership role in the programming, planning, development and evaluation. Provides advanced level clinical supervision to staff of varied disciplines and clinical treatment that meets quality and quantity standards. Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs of children
and adolescents (3-21years) and their families and utilizes best practices in meeting those needs.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Responsible for the strategic planning as well as programmatic and fiscal development of the program.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the programs serving children (ages 3-12 years) and/or adolescents (ages 13-21 years).
- Provides clinical supervision to clinical staff to assure program complies with all contracted and procedural expectations.
- Supervises the work operations of assigned staff, develops performance standards, and conducts performance evaluations.
- Oversees data collection and reporting of activity and utilization to facilitate quality performance and program evaluation initiatives. Assures accuracy and validity of data and reports to funding and regulatory agencies.
- Provides individual, family and group counseling to adolescents and their families. Completes crisis assessments, direct admissions, and follow up for at risk youth.
- Develops collaborations with community organizations and partnership with the school system.
- Nurtures and maintains positive and productive working relationships with the school district and community agencies/resources.
- Assures that programs are consistent with the missions of its funding sources as well as UBHC .
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in a behavioral health field plus five (5) years of postgraduate experience in a relevant behavioral health care or school serving children and adolescents.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- An appropriate doctorate and professional licensure may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
- Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
