Getti's Island Spyce Jamaican Res.Our busy Jamaican restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to manage the staff and operation of our establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of our restaurant’s policies and procedures, and will participate in achieving our revenue objectives. The Restaurant Manager will ensure that staff remain compliant with all local, state and federal laws, and that customers’ needs are promptly met. He/she will also be responsible for our catering functions from bookings to overseeing events.
Responsibilities
- recruiting, training and supervising staff.
- agreeing and managing budgets.
- Opening and closing Register
- planning menus.
- ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines.
- promoting and marketing the business.
- overseeing stock levels.
- ordering supplies.
- producing staff rostas.
- handling customer enquiries and complaints
- taking reservations
- greeting and advising customers
- problem solving
- preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports
- keeping statistical and financial records
- assessing and improving profitability
- setting targets
- handling administration and paperwork
- liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives
- making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.

Qualifications
- Degree in hospitality or culinary field is preferred
Or High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma
- Vocational/technical training or equivalent apprenticeship
- Food Handler’s Permit
- Three (3) years’ supervisory experience in multi-outlet food & beverage operation
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of management experience in restaurants or retail- preferably overseeing single to multi-unit concepts
- Experience with clover system is a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work varied hours/days, nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather conditions
