Overview
The Controls Project Engineer is a member of the Campus Energy Grou p and reports to the Director of Campus Energy.
The Controls Project Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing processes and tools to manage project costs, schedules, and risks. They work with the project team to create efficient systems that deliver projects on time and within budget. Project types include the HVAC & Lighting Controls for Capital Projects (mostly lab renovations), Maintenance Upgrades and Energy Conservation.
This position must embody the core values essential to the Organization: teamwork, innovation, integrity, inclusiveness, respect, and sustainability. The Controls Project Engineer collaborates with administrative leadership within Facilities to support the Campus.
This is a five years benefits eligible position.

The physical requirements are that the candidate must be able to inspect controls in mechanical penthouses that sometimes are only accessible by built in ladders; must be able to see and hear emergencies when in these mechanical spaces; and must be able to inspect contractor work in buildings-including work above ceilings.
