PelMeds™ has been in operation as an independently owned pharmacy for the past 75 years. We are now located in both Waltham, and Fitchburg Massachusetts.

We are a closed-door full-service pharmacy that specializes in medication management services, compounding (human & vet), specialty products, specialized packaging, and delivery service.

Our customers range from residential schools, group homes, palliative care/hospice, assisted living residents, individual patients, and pet owners/veterinarians.

We are looking to expand our pharmacy department and are seeking experienced, energetic National Certfied Pharmacy Technicians in our Waltham location that want to grow professionally in a fast-paced environment. National Certified Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for communicating directly with our patients and escalating issues to a Pharmacist as needed. Successful team members are reliable, energetic and customer-service oriented! They must possess strong computer/data entry skills, strong communication and organizational skills and be a self-starter. All Pharmacy Technicians work under the supervision of the pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Execute on high volume production workflow in our narcotics and compouding centers
• Process the fulfillment of orders to client specifications
• Work with our state-of-the-art automation systems
• Conduct data entry and insurance verification in Pharmacy software
• Assist in answering incoming patient calls when needed
• Resolve customer concerns in a professional and caring manner
• Support the Delivery team with packaging medications for deliver

Qualifications

• Active National Certified Pharmacy Technician license and acitive Massachusetts license is required
• Previous experience in a customer support setting where patience and exceptional listening skills are essential
• Experience in componding and filling narcotics
• Critical thinker, with great organizational skills & time management
• The ability to clearly communicate challenges and escalate issues when needed
• Strong work ethic and desire to support Pelmeds patients

Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
