Job Description

St. Mary’s Medical Center is now offering an enhanced pay opportunity for Medical Lab Tech (MLT) or Medical Lab Scientist (MLS). Candidates must work full-time hours within (2)13-week contracts (6 months). After 6 months transferring to a regular benefited position for the remainder of the 1 year commitment.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

Currently licensed as a Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the West Virginia Department ofHealth Human Resources (WVDHHR) if working in West Virginia.If not currently licensed in West Virginia, must obtain within 90 days of employment..

Has successfully completed certification exam from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) (preferred) or equivalent licensing board.


Completion of certification is required within one year of employment, if not previouslyobtained.
