Data Engineer / Integration Specialist
Duration: 6+ Months / Potential Right to Hire
The digital product team is looking for a skilled Data engineer or Integration Specialist, for a three-month term with the option for an extension. If you're adept at data mapping, Google Analytics, SQL, and enjoy automating processes for a mission-driven organization, this role is for you. Working with the VP of Digital Product, your key responsibilities will be to help create end-to-end data mapping, build a comprehensive data dictionary, streamline data transfers, ensure data quality, and make data accessible across the organization. Proficiency in creating Tableau visualizations is a must.
Responsibilities And Duties Data Mapping and Integration:
- Collaborate to understand data needs and create comprehensive data maps.
- Develop efficient processes for seamless data flow across systems.
- Define data integration standards and best practices.
Google Analytics And SQL Expertise
- Use Google Analytics for insights into website and user behavior.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Analyze complex data sets for meaningful business insights.
Data Automation
- Identify and implement opportunities for automating data transfers.
- Build automated workflows to enhance data processing efficiency.
- Explore and implement tools for better data automation.
Data Quality Assurance
- Implement checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Proactively address data quality issues, collaborating for resolution.
Democratizing Data Access
- Work on making data accessible to a broader audience.
- Implement strategies for data access while ensuring security and compliance.
Visualization And Reporting
- Create visually appealing graphs and charts using Tableau.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for insightful visualizations.
- Train teams in interpreting and using Tableau dashboards effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data mapping, integration, and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, and strong SQL skills.
- Experience with data automation tools and Tableau.
- Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in data management, analytics, or related areas.
- Experience with other data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of data governance principles
