The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will provide sustainment support for the FP&A teams and applications within the Disney Entertainment, Sports and Corporate segments and the various enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP, Business Warehouse, HANA, Business Objects and Cognos/TM1).
What You Will Do
- Support, complete tasks / activities related to the sustainment of the FP&A Cognos applications (e.g. Studio and Corporate Cost Center)
- Interact with clients and partners on matters concerning their planning tools, processes and/or reporting needs
- Participates in working sessions with business and technology partners to formulate improvement options to address specific functional issues / requirements
- Supports the implementation of process improvement / reengineering initiatives
- Play an active role in discussions and meetings and influence others
- Communicates with Enterprise Technology and collaborate closely on behalf of client’s to resolve system related issues
- Assistance clients with system access configuration and training
- Coordinate & drive project activities to ensure project progresses on schedule
- Convey relevant information in a timely and concise manner
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years work experience with finance or accounting, preferably in a large SAP installation with familiarity in software development
- 2+ years working with SAP or other ERP systems specializing in reporting, master data/hierarchy management, GL consolidation and reconciliation
- Experience working for large company and within a matrix organization
- Experience in financial operations, general ledgers, financial controls, consolidation and reconciliation, GAAP accounting, and SEC financial reporting
- Consistent record of process improvements and desire to implement standard methodologies
- Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with proven business and financial savvy
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience working within a team of impactful financial professionals with focus on solving issues to achieve results within service level agreement parameters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to succinctly convey information across multiple levels of the organization
- Ability to work on self -directed and assigned tasks under moderate direction and supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years experience as related to enterprise report standardization or master data alignment efforts.
- Experience in using SAP or another ERP system
- Experience in using IBM Cognos, Oracle Hyperion Planning/Essbase, Workday Adaptive or Anaplan
- Experience developing end user training
- Experience implementing financial processes and systems
- CPA or CMA license, or equivalent
- Six Sigma certification
- PMP, Scrum or other professional project management certification
Education
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
Preferred Education:
Graduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (e.g., MAC, MBA, MIS)
The hiring range for this position in California is $111,870.00 to $136,730.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
