Physical Therapist
Episcopal Homes a non-profit senior living organization in the heart of St. Paul offering skilled nursing, transitional care, assisted and independent living has an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapist to join our growing outpatient therapy team. This individual is responsible for providing physical therapy services to our campus seniors.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full time - daytime hours.
Job Duties:
- Utilizes problem solving, decision making methodology in evaluating, planning, communicating, directing and delivering patient care.
- Performs evaluations and discharges, determines appropriateness of treatment, clarifies orders as needed, and establishes PT plan of care.
- Provides direct PT services following standard procedures and safety precautions for the application and use of treatment modalities
- Provides training and education to patient, family and staff.
- Maintains required documentation
- Provides direction and supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants.
- Performs screenings and pursues physician orders when appropriate
- Provides reports and recommendations for patient care conferences, discharge meetings, etc.
- Obtains necessary authorization for PT services
- Participates in the development, revision, and implementation of programming for the physical therapy department.
- Participates in the development and presentation of in-service programs to rehab and interdisciplinary team
- Contributes to the job performance evaluation process for PTAs
- Maintains an effective working relationship with fellow employees.
- Maintains the work area in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
- Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures at all times.
- Participates in educational programs in the interest of improving skills as required, and for professional growth and development.
- Follows State and Federal regulations as they pertain to the practice of Physical Therapy.
- May perform reasonable similar or related duties as assigned or instructed.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in senior living: 1-2 years preferred
