Average wage 30.00 an hour

SUMMARY: Understands and reinforces the Company vision of being the best producer of steel pipe and tube in North America. Responsible for all aspects of production-related machining required to produce finished product in our Elkhart Indiana facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Run basic machine shop machines
2. Unload rollers in lathe
3. Set up lathe
4. Grind jaws
5. Make spacers
6. Rebuild tooling
7. Welding
8. Other duties as periodically assigned

Machine shop setting/ non production

OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Maintain regular and reliable attendance
2. Work cooperatively with others to ensure constructive and productive business relationships
3. Comply with all Company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
2. Computer literate
3. Able to score 70% or above on plant machinist test
4. Able to run Lathe
5. Able to run grinder to grind jaws
6. Able to weld
7. Able to operator a forklift
8. Read Blueprints
9. Previous Tool crib experience
10. Familiar with G code
11. Work well in a team-based environment

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma or GED
2. Strong verbal and math skills
3. Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, calipers, indicators
4. CNC programing experience preferred
5. Able to work overtime and/or various shifts
6. Able to work in an environment without climate control
