Job description
DigitalOptometrics is a fast-growing, innovative company that provides a comprehensive eye exam to patients using our patented remote technology. We are seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting department at our Lake Success office. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all accounting functions in the office, in addition to financial analysis and reporting.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in all accounting activities within an office. The candidate must have exceptional time management and organization skills, as well as successfully balance progress on strategic projects with day-to-day responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Review end of month accounting
- Responsible for proper posting of Accounting Books and Records
- Prepare for CFO approval recommended entries to Fixed Asset Accounts
- Prepare for CFO approval recommend end of month Journal Entries
- Draft end of month financials for review and approval of CFO
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Draft end of month journal entries for CFO approval
- Oversee accounting staff functions: cash, accounts receivable, accounts
payable , payroll/professional independent contractor payments - Reconcile Daily/Monthly Sales
- Prepare end of month Sales Commission Report
- Reconcile/ review Equipment Invoices/ CGS Monthly
- Assist in annual Budget Preparation
- Assist CFO in performance of Special Project requests
- Support annual audit by providing schedules, information and answers to
CFO for auditors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting department
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups and charts.
- Agility in learning various software including Accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- High level of flexibility, agility and responsiveness in meeting deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
