Job Summary
As the Company’s Vice President of Security and Cyber Security, you will lead the department encompassing the Program Security, Facility Security, Internal Software Development, Cyber Security and Information Security Teams, bringing alignment and a cohesive strategy to this organization.
In concert with Millennium's senior leadership, you will establish the security org’s vision, strategy, and execution priorities related to the assessment and mitigation of risk (foreign and domestic), incident management, and safeguarding of the organization and its ability to conduct all work.
You will serve as the principal security liaison between the company and the security organizations of its clients in the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community, U.S. ally defense organizations, and other clients as needed. We are looking for an exceptional hands-on leader and communicator who builds credibility and trust amongst internal teams as well as with Millennium's customers.
This position's internal job code is Industrial Security Manager. Our team is currently hiring for level M.
Responsibilities
- Ensure robust policies, procedures, and processes are in place and well implemented to effectively manage the department, to provide classified computing capabilities to cleared staff, and to provide security to company across the nation
- Ensure compliance with NISP and intelligence regulations, contractual, executive order, and other relevant federal directives for classified operations and other local, national, and international regulations relevant to security
- Incorporate risk management principles into Security by proactively assessing asset values/loss consequences, threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures’ effectiveness to maximize efficiencies and contain security and safety related costs
- Guide the development of department staff, to include training and other developmental activities, to ensure effective career development and effective succession planning, in concert with IS leadership
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to Security and classified functions including special security and intelligence community policies and procedures
- Serve as the primary security contact with the programs. Maintain familiarity with the programs to provide proactive management and delivery of capabilities and provides security and classified computing expertise regarding their programs and projects
- Continually monitor research computing needs and IT trends, upgrading capabilities as merited to ensure sufficient storage and processing capabilities and cutting-edge analytic capabilities
- Ensure all classified information systems and secure communication systems remain authorized by the respective government agency (classified network, collateral, SIPRNet, TS/SCI and SAP/SAR) and operate in accordance with current government regulations
- Through continual adherence to standards, ensure perpetual readiness for Command Cyber Readiness, DIA, DCSA, DISA, and other government oversight inspections
- Oversee company’s interactions with DISA, DIA, DCSA, the military departments, and other government agencies regarding the authorization of classified operating capabilities
- Act as the focal point for administering SCI and SAP programs for all government sponsors
- Coordinate and implement the domestic and international travel program to include prevention seminars, international travel/safety awareness briefings, and security threat analysis to ensure protection of all employees
Qualifications
- This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program
- Expert in Cyber Security & Industrial Security with 10+ years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility in security, classified support, and/or cybersecurity, including a minimum of 5 years in both security and cybersecurity related leadership roles with significant staff responsibility; 15 years of experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of special security regulations for a broad range of clients in DoD, Space Force, and the Intelligence Community with established relationships with government security counterparts; experience working in aerospace or defense industries is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), JSIG, and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEAD)
- Significant experience managing special security facilities and providing associated computing and communications capabilities
- Experience establishing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and standards across large, matrixed; adept at preparing for and managing incident response regarding security and safety events
- Proven ability to lead the development of new teams and organizations and to mentor and develop staff; collaborative, hands-on, player-coach leadership style; successful track record growing talent and building high performing security teams
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) including working with a variety of people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives across all levels in a collegial, collaborative, and intellectually challenging environment.
- Extensive experience leading – or working in close partnership with – IT functions and teams; broad knowledge of IT operations and information assurance, familiarity with the latest computing capabilities available, and sufficiently deep IT knowledge to manage an IT workforce
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate and defend company positions in an effective manner, prepare clear and efficient redlines, and drive initiatives to completion
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, computer science, security or a related field is preferred
- American Society for Industrial Security Certified Protection Professional (ASIS CPP) certification is a plus
- Memberships in Industrial Security Working Group (ISWG) and Contractor SAP Security Working Group (CSSWG) are a plus

Summary Pay-Range
- Level M: $160,650 - $236,250
