Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as EEO Investigator. You will investigate internal complaints of discrimination, including claims of sexual harassment, maintaining the System’s compliance with all federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws to ensure equal opportunity within the terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
Job Description
Through the supervised efforts of the Office of Legal Affairs, the responsibilities of the EEO investigator includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Providing an internal avenue of redress through the investigation and resolution of complaints of unlawful employment discrimination and harassment.
- Substantial experience in conducting investigations.
- Strong writing skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws
- Must be able to report to various healthcare facilities throughout New York City to provide targeted, timely, and productive support for the Office of EEO, at the direction of the System’s Chief Employment Counsel.
- Assisting with other assignments and special projects as required.
Skills Required
- Must be familiar with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws.
- Lawyer and Equal employment opportunity experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills required.
- Adept at quickly synthesizing information to distill critical issues and formulate recommendations that consider risks, benefits, and alternative perspectives.
- Strong people skills and ability to understand and effectively navigate within a large organizational structure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced health care/hospital setting.
- MS office suite
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required for this role and a Juris Doctor Degree is highly preferred.
- NYS Bar Preferred
Additional Requirements
- Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate
- $76.00 per hour
