Job description
Hannah's Home of South Florida, Inc. (HHSF) is looking for a Child Care Director to lead our Christian residential group home's onsite, licensed childcare center. HHSF assists homeless, pregnant women (aged 18-30) by helping them have healthy pregnancies, birth health babies, overcome hardships, and learn to live and flourish independently. Our program provides housing, case management, supportive community, education, career preparation, parenting and life skills, and spiritual development. Residents are eligible to stay until their babies are two years old. HHSF serves the residents' children only , and in the next few years the campus is expanding from housing eight residents to 32.
Child Care Director duties center on the residents' babies' healthy development. HHSF is currently upgrading its services to offer School Readiness, and the Child Care Director will join the team at a pivotal point as the child care center elevates to an early learning focus and curriculum. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in early childhood development or related field, and 4 plus years' experience in a child care center, including administrative experience. It is not mandatory that the candidate has the director credential; however, they will be expected to attain it in the first year, and HHSF will support their pursuit.
The child care center operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and is staffed by volunteers. The Child Care Director will be responsible for:
