Job description
We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicle, machinery and equipment to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs
- Perform general preventative maintenance on vehicle, machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose failures of vehicles/machinery and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other professionals in coordinating maintenance activities.
- Answer road calls.
- Maintain and repair fleet equipment.
- Perform DOT Inspections.
Fleet Records and Documentation
- Arrange for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules.
- Follow daily check list (pre-trip inspection).
- Fill out all necessary documents.
- Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and field inspectors.
- Confer with supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
- Oversee inventory of equipment parts and place orders when necessary.
- Comply with safety policies and procedures

Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- HD truck technical training or related experience, 3 to 5 years.
- ASE Certification, will be highly valued
- Knowledge of the various construction vehicles and equipment. Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components.
- Skilled in welding and cutting
- Knowledge of DOT inspections
- Bilingual in Spanish will be a plus.
- Open to, occasionally travel in and out state for work purposes.
- Aptitude in using various hand tools, precision measurements, and testing equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for details.
