Job description
Role : Devops Engineer
Yrs: 9+
Location: O'Fallon, Missouri (3 days hybrid)( Locals)
Description:
Excellent experience on CI/CD frameworks: Jenkins and Bamboo
Excellent experience on configuration management tools: Chef and ansible
Excellent skills to develop and implement automation in unit testing, release builds, release deployments, and regression testing
Ability to provide development and technical support for new business requirements and development of new products/features
Ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge, especially security-related concepts
Well versed with technologies such as: Perl, Python, Groovy, Java, Bash
Demonstrate expertise of principles, theories, and concepts plus in-depth knowledge of business / functional requirements gathering as part of the software development lifecycle
Should have experience working in an agile/scrum teams/Kanban
Good experience with debugging mechanisms available for automation initiatives
Should be able to understand the flows of the product and be able to assist junior members of the team in timely fashion for keeping up the delivery standards
Technical Skills Needed:
Chef configuration management
Continuous Integration and continuous deployment tools: Jenkins
GIT/SVN
Security Protocols (SSL, TLS)
Advanced knowledge of Unix Servers and Administration
Advanced knowledge of Tomcat and JBoss
Advanced knowledge of one or more scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, Bash
Advanced knowledge of automation tools such as Chef
Advanced knowledge of software development and testing
Advanced knowledge of monitoring and alert tools Splunk and Dynatrace
Familiarity with an issue tracking system such as Rally or Jira
Familiarity with an ITIL Change / Incident tracking system such Remedy
Database (Oracle, REDIS, Postgres) knowledge for deployment automation and issue troubleshooting - Desirable"
You'll have (Qualification & Experience):
Customer service or consulting experience
Excellent understanding of development operations
Good experience with tools such as chef, ansible, Jenkins, bamboo
Well versed with security mechanisms such as ssl and mssl
Good coordination skills with the team/project stakeholders management
Participating in code review activities and ensure quality standards are met
Mentoring the junior developers and help assist with the delivery responsibility of the assigned projects/tasks
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
