Job description

First Baptist Lafayette

Communications Director

First Baptist Lafayette is in downtown Lafayette, just three blocks from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. From this location, it has been a “witness in Acadiana” for over 118 years. Lafayette, Louisiana, mixes all the amenities of urban life, including universities and medical centers, with the unmistakable influence of the region’s Cajun culture. The Wall Street Journal’s marketwatch.com recently named Lafayette as the “Happiest City in America.”

First Baptist Lafayette has seen God’s hand move in a mighty way. Last year, the Church witnessed over 150 baptisms, and this year, the Church is on pace to meet and exceed that number. In addition, last year, the Church received the largest number of contributions in its history and this year is ahead of projections.

First Baptist Lafayette is seeking a Director of Communications, who can serve as a relentless team-oriented staff member, with an emphasis on creative freedom to do your job well and be the expert in your field. Personal, professional, and ultimately spiritual development is baked into their culture with weekly and monthly opportunities to share the Gospel of Christ and reach Acadiana for His glory.
