A Buyer job in Paterson, Washington or Woodinville, Washington is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). In this role, you will be responsible for the acquisition of goods and services in support of company requirements. The Buyer is responsible for the replenishment and inventory management of multiple packaging commodities, as well as execute department and company-wide initiative and adherence to SMWE policies and procedures. This job is full time.

Buyer job responsibilities include:

•  Leverage enterprise resource planning (ERP) to manage supply and replenishment into wineries and distribution centers to support production. Maintain adequate inventory and safety stock levels while minimizing material obsolescence.
•  Manage SKU ramp up/ramp down associated with packaging changes.
•  Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve lead time, delivery, quality, and pricing issues and work cross functionally to resolve.
•  Identify materials for write-off, work with accounting and warehouse for approvals and disposal.
•  Develop effective internal and supplier relationships/partnerships to drive business results.
•  Generate and implement cost reduction opportunities to meet annual cost savings objectives. Identify and champion inventory reduction initiatives.
•  Accurate and timely maintenance of item master, monthly open orders report, supplier performance metrics, and purchase price variance reports as needed.

Position Requirements:

•  Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a purchasing role, including replenishment planning/ buying and supplier management.
•  High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related field) preferred.
•  Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) preferred.
•  Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
•  Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to develop positive business relationships with internal departments and suppliers.
•  Team player, demonstrate problem solving abilities, and strive toward continuous improvement.
•  History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.

Your Compensation:

$67,725 - $79,162/yr. based upon relevant experience.
