Senior Assembler/VSAM Tech Lead
100% Onsite position in Omaha, NE.
11+ Month Contract
Overview: Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Assembler/VSAM Tech Lead for a 100% Onsite position in Omaha, NE. This opportunity entails working on cutting-edge projects within the BFS domain and Application Modernization. If you possess expertise in Assembler, COBOL, and Mainframe technologies, this role offers an exciting chance to contribute to impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of analysis, coding, testing, and maintenance of application software written in Assembler, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, MQ, and CICS.
- Collaborate with senior developers and application architects to discern business needs and implement suitable technical solutions.
- Actively participate in 7x24 on-call system support on a rotational shift basis.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of total experience, with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in assembler skills.
- Expertise in Assembler, COBOL, CICS, MVS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, ISPF, and Broadcom/CA Intertest (or equivalent debugging application).
- Strong proficiency in VSAM and Mainframe Systems.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with Java.
