Location: Can be based at any of our Modesto, Fresno, Lodi, Madera, or Livingston wineries in California.

The PSM RMP Technical Manager for the Environmental Health & Safety department at E. & J. Gallo Winery serves as the subject matter expert and provides compliance management for all company facilities covered under Cal/OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM), EPA's Risk Management Program (RMP) and the California's Accidental Release Prevention Program (CalARP). Ensures that all Gallo production facilities maintain compliance with current and future regulations by engaging in the development of processes and the systematic implementation of safety processes/procedures. Reviews and approves RMP and CalARP regulatory documentation prior to site management signature and submission. Participates in or leads highly visible plant initiatives ensuring timely and successful completion.

What You Will Do

Administration/Management

•  Plans, develops, conducts, and evaluates process safety programs at all Gallo production facilities covered by OSHA, PSM, and Cal ARP standards.
•  Acts as administrator of process safety SharePoint site.
•  Maintains and improves KPI reporting for process safety.
•  Maintains master scorecard for process safety, conducts periodic rescores to keep metrics evergreen

Technical

•  Leads company Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to determine enterprise-wide solutions to technical issues related to process safety.
•  Provides ongoing technical consultation and support for the development and maintenance of regulatory compliant PSM, RMP and CalARP programs at winery or other company facilities covered under these programs.
•  Engages site teams in incident investigation for root cause(s) of any release or potential release of hazardous materials for covered processes.

Compliance

•  Develops and oversees regularly scheduled audits of PSM and RMP/CalARP elements for continuing compliance with these regulations; makes recommendations to senior management for the mitigation and remedy of non-compliance issues.
•  Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
•  Designs standard work practices to maintain compliance for each element of the regulation.

Evaluation

•  Assesses chemicals and equipment used in the manufacturing process for potential risks; develops mitigation plans and drives required changes.
•  Performs inspections and makes corrective action recommendations on new and existing covered processes.

What You Will Need
•  Master of Science degree plus 5 years of process safety management (PSM) or risk management plan (RMP) experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor of Science degree in applicable discipline plus 8 years of process safety experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of process safety experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
•  Experience assessing potential workplace hazards and designing, implementing, and maintaining safety and health programs as they specifically relate to PSM and RMP requirements.
•  Valid driver's license. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
•  Required to maintain working schedules to accommodate multiple shifts.
•  Required to travel to various winery facilities via automobile and airplane.
•  Required to occasionally conduct job duties at extreme heights.
•  Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
•  Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart
•  Chemical Engineering or EHS degree plus 10 years of process safety experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
•  Certified Process Safety Professional (CCPSC), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) designation.
•  Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting isometric drawings, schematics and P & amp;ID's.
•  Skilled in the use of process hazard analysis software, such as PHA Leader (ABS) is preferred.
•  Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level; MS Access at a basic level.

Compensation:
•  Hiring Salary Range Posted: $115,900 - $173,900 / year
•  Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
