and Fine and Applied Arts ()
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are searching for a Senior HR Manager to join the growing Human
Resources Service Center team. The Human Resources Service Center is a new,
joint venture between the two Colleges to provide efficient, effective,
customer service focused human resources services to AHS and FAA. The Senior HR
Manager will oversee day-to-day human resource operations for the service
center, provide guidance to department leaders, and support the Human Resource
Director in achievement of their goals with relative autonomy.
Major Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the strategic development of unit's
human resource activities and performance, ensuring compliance and successful
delivery of human resource related services.
Oversee respective Human Resource team and
performance management, providing feedback and resources for success.
Advise and consult with campus leaders on human
resource related matters, including employee relations, performance management,
and compliance with university policies and procedures.
Support the development and implementation of
recruitment, retention, and other human resource and Office for Access and
Equity related initiatives or activities.
Partner with
central Human Resources and campus leaders to assist in developing and
implementing human resource policies and procedures aligned with the
university's goals and regulations.
Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration,
Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor
Relations, Business Administration, or a field closely related to the position
Two (2) years (24 months) of
work experience performing professional-level human resources duties
Demonstrated
supervisory experience
Preferred: Master's
degree in Human Resources of a field closely related to the position
Five (5) years' experience providing diverse
human resources service across multiple clients
Demonstrated team
leadership
Required Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities (KSAs)Ability to train staff on HR policies, procedures, and best
practices
Ability to develop, implement, and maintain operational
plans, programs, and systems
Demonstrated working knowledge of routine work applications
Ability
to identify and resolve issues that may not be
readily apparent
Ability to manage and lead Human
Resource staff
Proven track record of
customer service to diverse clients
Salary and Appointment Information This is a 100% full-time Civil
Service 5020 - Human Resource Associate position, appointed on a 12-month
basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the closing date. We strive to
provide a competitive salary, considering factors such as available market
data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications, collective
bargaining agreements, and budget constraints. The minimum salary for this
position is $85,000 with the final salary offer determined through a thorough
assessment of these elements.
This is an on-Campus position and
not eligible for full remote work. Hybrid work options may be available for
this position after an initial training/team building period, but with the
requirement that onsite availability may be needed at any time with short
notice.
