- Ensure daily reports are run, results are analyzed, and information is provided to import Entry Team and/or customer.
- Regular audits of information looking for anomalies that affect the financial outcome of the team.
- Identify root cause of errors and report to operations manager to address.
- Build relationships of trust and respect within the team through leading by example.
- Effective delegation whilst maintaining levels of accountability.
- Application of knowledge and experience when addressing problems while taking critical information into account when making decisions.
- Timely and accurate feedback on management reports.
- Effective demonstration of judgement and knowledge of company's business, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain company standards while dealing with clients.
- Effective communication with customers and colleagues, using appropriate style, language and tone.
- Undertake additional duties as the needs of the business dictate.
- Regular review of all projects and monthly report to Import Manager.
- Account Management and Maintenance Activities: Establish and cultivate customer relationships to drive sales and increase customer base. Complete Customer account maintenance resulting from account reviews. Provide account analysis to determine up-sell and renewal offers. Monitor and resolve customer issues. Track individual account activity and results.
- Attain productivity and sales goals based on targeted metrics. Meet/exceed all departmental goals and business objectives.
- Demonstrate positive and cooperative behavior with customers and coworkers. Demonstrate personal leadership in consistently maintaining high standards for ethical and professional conduct.
- Disburse adjustments and credits as appropriate within established limits and criteria.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strongly preferred: 5+ years in shipping/logistics/supply chain management industry.
- Preferred: 8+ years of prior experience in Sales.
- Building rapport; relationship management.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Preferred: experience using SalesForce.com.
- Compelling, tactful negotiation and ability to create mutual wins.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Physical ability to: communicate clearly and accurately, operate a computer and other office equipment.
