DESCRIPTION

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking an Accountant to oversee the cash accounting activities for the Company’s U.S. and International Operations. This will include the posting of the cash receipts, outgoing payments, check processing and GL reconciliations. This member will be a part of the MGM Corporate Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Record daily bank deposits, outgoing wire transfers, and various cash journal entries into SAP
o Data upload into SAP
o Manual journal posting
-Secondary bank receipts
-Intercompany transfers
-Treasury payments
-Fx forward deliveries
-Intercompany cash pool entries
• Maintain documentation and proper record keeping of all entries recorded to the general ledger
• Process check deposits via e-deposit and in-branch
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations
• Help prepare flux analyses to explain changes in cash balances to senior management
• Assist supervisors with special projects, as assigned

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Ability to working in a fast-paced environment and meet month-end deadlines
• Solid knowledge of banking and accounting
• Knowledge of SAP a plus
• Strong computer, analytical, and technical skills
• Must have strong skill set in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
• Highly organized

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
