Job description

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Vascular Medicine, is seeking candidates for a full-time Vascular Medicine faculty position to grow a new program. The position will report to Dr. Joshua Beckman, Director of Vascular Medicine. Candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with expert faculty and develop or construct a clinical focus in Vascular Medicine. UT Southwestern, one of the premier academic medical centers in the nation, integrates pioneering biomedical research with exceptional clinical care and education. Faculty will have abundant opportunities for academic activities including education at all levels, from medical students through clinical fellows and participation in clinical research. Candidates must have an M.D. degree, or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified/eligible in Vascular Medicine. The position will include regular attending duties, as well as participate in teaching and training of fellows, house staff, and medical students.

Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
